Chief Accountant

Summary:

Perform complex accounting work according to accounting principles, established procedures, departmental guidelines, and regulatory requirements applicable and to supervise accounting professionals to ensure the accomplishment of assigned functions according to established schedules, calendars and projects of the Company. This includes but not limited to researching and collecting data, preparing clear and concise financial reports, and monitoring expenditures and revenues of the Departments and the Company as whole.

 

Qualifications & skills:

·         University Degree in Public or Business Administration majored in Accounting, Finance or related field;

·         Advantage if have ACCA, CPA or CPTA professional title;

·         At least 5 years progressively responsible experience in accounting and budget administration;

·         Fluent in English language;

·         Accounting software experience required;

·         Extensive knowledge of generally accepted standard accounting principles, established procedures, departmental guidelines, and regulatory requirements applicable to the work;

·         Current knowledge of industry, regulatory and legislative developments affecting accounting and financial reporting functions to ensure application to areas of responsibility;

·         Ability to have effectively supervise an employee engaged in carrying out departmental functions.  

 

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

·         Supervise daily activities of finance team;

·         Monitor financial transactions according to company policies and regulations;

·         Review production and other operation reports; 

·         Coordinate with finance team to complete reporting package within deadlines;

·         Perform month-end accounting activities and produce financial statements;

·         Ensure accurate and timely filing of statutory reports to Tax and Government authorities;

·         Consolidation of group financial reports;

·         Tax planning;

·         Liaise with local and corporate auditors;

·         Review and recommend changes to existing accounting procedures;

·         Evaluate ERP system and provide recommendations to IT team for performance improvements;
